One Year on Hormones!

I know I haven’t updated this blog in forever, but I wanted to at least post something today since it’s been exactly one year since I started HRT! I promise that I’ll be updating this on a more regular basis soon, but until then, here’s a fun before and after picture :)

Also, here’s my latest two youtube videos and more cute pics!:

  1. Congratulations to You, Your are a truly beautiful young women. You are a great inspiration to many. The world would be a better place if there were more people like your self who know who they are.

  2. Annika,

I stumbled across your blog quite by accident, and was immediately captivated. Sounds like you are enjoying life. I transitioned when I was about your age (Biber Girl, class of ’94). Like you, I’m blessed with “passing privilege;” but unlike you, I opted for an assimilated, stealth life from the get-go Hope you don’t regret your high-profile, above-the-radar approach. On the upside, you’re an inspiration to many trans girls, but the downside is a triple-whammy: (1) it will limit your option to go stealth someday if you choose to, (2) it comes with a loss of privacy, and (3) it jeopardizes your personal safety. But you’re a smart girl; you’re undoubtedly aware of these things already. Take care, be safe, and have a brilliant life.

  3. Hi Annika! My name is Michelle and I live in SF too! I live in outer sunset and i go to SFSU and im moving in with my boyfriend next month! Lol anyway…I think you are one of the prettiest girls ive ever seen…like, your personality and everything is just so calming and sweet and i love it :D I originally saw you on youtube, when i was looking up “boy to girl transformation” vids…and yours immediately caught my eye cuz ur so pretty :) Anyway, I’m so glad for you, I read your whole blog (backwards, as in from latest to oldest lol) and think you are so inspirational! Anyway..long, rambling message from someone who just has very positive feelings towards you! Stay strong, FB me if you want!..lol hope thats not too weird..just think ur a really cool girl <3

  4. You have a beautiful style, girl. I started reading you from the Q and A you did with Sebastian on Autostraddle, and I had to come by and see what you’ve been up to lately! I hope you will keep writing in general and documenting your transformation. Regarding Michelle’s comment on 3/10, I agree that high-profile can be tricky, but you’ve also got a lot of good people out here who have got your back. You call us if you need us.

  5. Hello, My name is Bailey Jay. I am the host of The Bailey Jay Show on The Riot Cast Network. You may know me from my career as a TG adult film star, but I have recently found mainstream fame and want to use this newly found fame to help TG women with the advice I wish I had when I started my transition. I am starting a new TG makeover show that is being pitched to networks and I am currently looking for potential TG women to have on the panel for the show’s podcast counter part. You seem like a very well-spoken TG woman with a good head on your shoulders. My ultimate goal is to start a network of TG/TS shows that can help “normalize” transgenderism by having young, passable TS talk openly about tg issues in a positive environment. If you are interested Please email me at BaileyMeansBusiness@gmail.com I am in no way contacting you as a way of getting you to do “adult work” Actually, a big part of this show is to speak out against TS/TG women believing the hype about that type of career. Thank you!

    • Bailey, this is a great idea! Anika will be an excellent spokeswoman for the young transwomen of today. I also wish that you would tell TS women who are taking estrogen the facts about how, estrogen supplements in MTF + smoking = a guarantee that you will contract cancer. Something about the combination of smoking and using estrogen triggers cancer in nearly all transwomen.

So, you have already quit, right, Bailey?

Also, helping teach transwomen ways to enhance their appearance and other ways to more seamlessly interact with others would go a long way to achieving your goal of normalizing transgender relations with the rest of society. One place where I shop has a transwoman as a cashier. About seventy percent of customers avoid going to her line. I think that the main cause is that she makes little effort to reign-in her inner queen; being too snappy, loud and cobra headed. That sort of thing creeps people out.

BTW, Are you coming back to Vegas…ever?

  6. It takes courage to face society to be who you believe you are. The bottom line is that making your videos private after posting them public on Youtube tells everyone you do not have the moxy to be a role model. Damn shame. As a straight guy, I found your video really cool. Btw, you make one awesome Snow White.
